Background of Daniel Pearl

Daniel Pearl-October 10th,1963-was born in Princeton, New Jersey. He was attended Stanford University for four years. He was very involved in things such as co-founding a student newspaper called the "Stanford Commentary". He was very known for writing "A-heads" ('colorful" pieces that were printed down the center of the front page of the paper.) He graduated as a communication major and a Phi Beta Kappa honors.

After he graduated, he was an intern for a summer. He later then got a job at The Wall Street Journal Atlanta Bureau. he later than advanced to the Washington DC's bureau to do "Telecommunications." And lastly moved to the journal's London Bureau, where he met his wife- Mariane Van Neyenhoff. After marrying a year later, they moved to Mumbai where Daniel was hired as the Journal's South Asia Bureau chief. His wife Mariane gave birth to Adam Daniel Pearl the right after Daniel's death in 2002.
